Child Sense is a paediatric occupational therapy provider servicing the Inner West of Sydney. Our service loves to develop therapists long term by exploring their goals and interests in therapy and shaping growth around their values. As a service we work hard to foster innovative and resilient therapists who find balance and enjoyment in their work.

The clinic in Leichhardt contains a number of large sensorimotor gym rooms, however a mix of services are provided in order to meet the best functional outcomes for clients whether that be in clinic or the community. To reduce travel demands, community sessions are mostly grouped together within the same area, with travel times typically within a 15 minute distance, with maximum travel time of 30minutes.

Our service collaborates with a range of community organisations to offer therapeutic consultation and support for families who otherwise would not be able to access services.

We have a full or part time occupational therapy position available to join our team of occupational therapists based out of our Leichhardt office. Experience in servicing a range of developmental, cognitive, sensory, motor, social and emotional challenges is desired. Our service provides a thorough induction into the practice with a graded increase in caseload and learning to develop a therapist’s clinical practice skills and confidence. We offer individual weekly supervision, group case studies and case conferences, journal reviews and frequent inhouse and external professional development trainings.

The position is flexible to accommodate family commitments, interest areas and scheduling structures. The position will also benefit a therapist who is interested in developing their professional skills whilst working in an innovative practice environment. There are currently 9 occupational therapists and speech pathologists onsite. There is also onsite underground parking and a range of community amenities close by.

• Salary between $80000- $119000 depending on experience level
