You will lead the procurement function, reviewing, designing and building policies, processes and procedures, reviewing existing supplier relationships, assisting with organisation wide tenders and building a partnering relationship with respective stakeholders within the organisation.
This is a newly created, greenfield role reporting directly to the CFO. As this is the first dedicated procurement position within the organisation, it's a unique opportunity to build and shape the function from the ground up.
This role is suited to someone who is a proactive self-starter with strong stakeholder engagement skills. The successful candidate will need to set priorities independently and establish foundational policies and procedures.

- Design and implement the procurement strategy, supported by tactical procurement programs.
- Review supplier relationships with a view to consolidating spend where possible.

- Develop performance reporting in collaboration with the CFO.
- Standardise templates, agreements and terms and conditions to provide efficiency and ease of entering into contracts.
- Assess system and application requirements to streamline the procurement processes.
About You
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience of successfully developing and implementing procurement strategies and governance frameworks.
- Experience in setting up strategic procurement and translating that into actionable and measurable plans that provide value for money savings that do not reduce, and where possible enhance, the quality of outcomes.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and property related procurement, ideally with category experience across property and facilities management, grounds maintenance, construction and refurbishments, and energy and utilities.

- Permanent role with a salary of up to $180,000 + super.
- Flexible hybrid working – 3 days in the Brisbane CBD office, 2 days from home.
- Unique opportunity to build and shape the function from the ground up.
