You now have the opportunity to join one of Queensland's leading design and construct (D&C) organisations focused on the water & wastewater, utilities & industrial markets. Targeting highly profitable small to mid-size projects throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales, this successful industrial electrical solutions provider is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to take on all technical and engineering responsibilities associated with their portfolio of projects.

This business has been established in the Australian market for decades and with a staff headcount over 100, they are well known throughout the Queensland market. They are also poised for significant growth over the next several years and are looking to strengthen their engineering capability in order to take on more significant projects in the near future.

The Position

This is a unique position that requires a range of specific skills to get the job done - the ability to build strong relationships with customers, manage a team of engineering and workshop staff and an eye for detail when producing complex designs, estimating, quotes and tenders. These skills combined with extensive hands on knowledge of the electrical industry will ensure that you can deliver high quality projects across all parts of their business.

To be successful in the role your key skills and competencies will include;

• 5+ years experience in a leadership role, ideally representing a D&C business within the water & wastewater, food & beverage, utilities or industrial markets
• Experience leading electrical or control systems engineering projects from concept and detailed design through to commissioning and maintenance/support
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering ideally RPEQ qualified
• Highly Desirable - Training or knowledge in Machine Safety (TUV) or Hazardous Area design
• Experience developing and overseeing detailed estimates and quotes
