Are you an experienced procurement and contracts professional looking for a rewarding role in local government?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement & Contracts Officer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality procurement and contract management services across Council.

About the Role
As the Procurement & Contracts Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring Council’s procurement activities are efficient, compliant, and meet all legislative and policy requirements. You’ll provide expert support across the contract lifecycle — from tendering and documentation through to reporting and compliance monitoring.

About You
You will bring an understanding of procurement and contract management practices, ideally within a government or similar regulated environment. Your eye for detail, organisational skills, and ability to work collaboratively across departments will ensure your success in this role.

Key Attributes:

Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and best practices in procurement and contract management.

Experience in managing procurement systems and documentation.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software or portals.

The Benefits
This is a permanent part time position (55 hours per fortnight), with a starting salary of $73,730 per annum (pro-rata) + superannuation.
