Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Procurement Officer to join our Melbourne-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring the seamless procurement of products to support our expanding retail operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining stock availability, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of merchandise to our stores and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and build relationships with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.

Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize cost-effectiveness while ensuring reliability and quality standards are met.

Collaborate closely with demand planning, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure procurement aligns with business needs and forecasts.

Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain supply chain continuity.

Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate records.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles.

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience in retail or the travel accessories industry is an advantage.
