The Bunbury Farmers Market is Australia's leading independent Fresh Food Retailer. We are based in the Southwest of Western Australia in one of the most liveable areas in Australia. We pride ourselves on providing high quality fresh food. We source our fresh produce from over 150 local growers, and we are passionate about our ‘Market Made’ range of fresh meal and dessert choices made on the premises. Coupled with our high quality Gourmet Butcher / Meat and Seafood products, we have a unique dairy offering of local and international cheeses & anti-pasto that compliment our Deli, Sushi and Café lines.

Together with our partners Hancock Prospecting, we are poised for rapid growth in the coming years that includes our new store in Vasse (opened December 2024) followed by a planned Perth store in 2027. Role Summary:

The Maintenance Technician/ 'All Rounder' at our Vasse Store will be ‘hands on’ in assisting with a range of day to day maintenance requirements that ensure support is offered to our retailers in order to trade effectively within their roles.

You will work autonomously at Vasse, supported by the visiting Bunbury-based Maintenance Team and receive training in trouble-shooting common faults in a range of state of the art food production equipment. Our company heavily invests its profits back in to the business, and in to its people. You will work with high quality food production machinery back of house as well as ensuring the day-to-day cabinet lights; fixtures and fittings are maintained to our high standards within the store.

This role will suit an ‘all-rounder’ with an aptitude and interest in equipment and working with people from all walks of life.

What we are looking for:

Experience in a similar role, food industry experience highly regarded but not essential

Calm under pressure, you will have an ability to problem solve

Trade qualification or equivalent experience such as: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration
