Turner River Maintenance Officer

Yaandina Community Services, situated in Roebourne for over 40 years, is the largest provider of community services in the Pilbara. Yaandina has a comprehensive suite of services that include: youth and family programs, community and aged care services and Drug & Alcohol services.

Reporting to the Assets and Maintenance Coordinator, the Turner River Maintenance Officer is responsible for the management and overseeing of the outdoor areas & buildings of the Turner River facility, including the gardens, workshops, storage sheds, vehicles, tools and other equipment. The role involves maintaining an external environment, coordinating contractors & undertaking some handyman and maintenances tasks as necessary.

You’ll support the team and clients of the Therapeutic community and deliver a range of services which include the development and maintenance of gardens and grounds, appropriate maintenance of buildings and equipment.

Duties include but not limited to;

Develop and maintain Turner River maintenance schedule & coordinate external contractors to complete repairs and maintenance as necessary.

Engage in general maintenance activities

Report any identified risks, breakdowns and maintenance issues, and action in a timely manner

Ensure workshops and facilities remain clean and tidy, comply with safety and hygiene standards; removal of garbage

Using Mex, identify and ensure maintenance schedules and logs for key components of Turner River’s assets are appropriately recorded and actioned.

Maintain continuous improvement practices

Drivers Licence

Desirable – Cert III or higher in maintenance management and/or relevant trade certificate.
