Join the Cherratta Lodge Team – Maintenance Attendant (Local Karratha Role)
Are you practical, proactive, and experienced in general maintenance or handyperson work?
Cherratta Lodge is looking for a Maintenance Attendant to join our team in Karratha. This full-time role plays a key part in keeping our facilities, accommodation, and equipment safe, functional, and looking their best.
This is a local position with 9 days on, 5 days off roster.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general maintenance, including minor repairs, servicing, inspections, and equipment checks.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and support scheduled preventative maintenance.
Maintain the pool, including water quality testing and equipment upkeep.
Manage gardening and basic groundskeeping to ensure a clean, tidy site appearance.
Oversee waste management and contribute to overall site presentation.
Coordinate and supervise contractors for specialised trade works as needed.
Raise purchase orders and keep maintenance records updated in the system.
Work collaboratively with other departments to support guest comfort and operational efficiency.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in handyperson work or similar roles; Trade qualifications are a significant advantage
Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
Excellent time management and communication skills
High Risk Work Licence (Operating a forklift truck)
A current C class driver’s licence
First Aid Certificate – HLTAID010 (Preferred)
Snake Handler certification (Preferred)
Aquatic Pool Operator certification, including the below units (Preferred)
- SISCAQU015 – Test pool water quality
- SISCAQU016 – Manage pool water quality
- SISCAQU017 – Supervise pool plant operations
- SISXFAC009 – Coordinate facility maintenance
- BSBWHS308 – Participate in WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
Perform water rescues – SISCAQU020 (Preferred)
