1300 Meteor Rentals is a family-owned vehicle rental company, now in its third generation of ownership. Over the past 40 years, we've grown significantly - upgrading our fleet and expanding our commercial presence across mining, civil, and construction sectors. We're now looking for an experienced Branch Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Cairns branch, support our local team, and uphold the high standards we’re known for.

About the Role

As Branch Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the Cairns branch - leading a frontline team, ensuring compliance with rental processes, and maintaining vehicle readiness and customer service standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to build team culture, streamline workflows, and stay cool under pressure will be key.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and mentoring a team of 5+ staff, driving performance and workplace morale

Overseeing branch operations including vehicle readiness, servicing schedules, rental procedures, and end-of-month reporting

Ensuring accuracy in timesheets, rosters, purchase orders, and quote follow-ups

Supporting new staff onboarding and identifying ongoing training needs in collaboration with our Training Coordinator

Maintaining high presentation standards of the branch, fleet, and customer-facing areas

Jumping in to assist with customer service and front counter duties during peak periods

Participating in cross-branch supervisor meetings to support operational consistency and continuous improvement

Being available to cover weekends or public holidays when required due to staff shortages or unforeseen absences

About You

You're confident in leading others and have a practical, solution-focused approach to operations. You’re not afraid to get involved on the ground, and you know how to coach and bring out the best in a diverse team.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Minimum 1 year experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a variety of personalities

Strong admin or operational coordination skills - whether that's rosters, ordering supplies, or handling paperwork. We’ll train you on the specifics

High attention to detail and strong time management skills

A valid driver’s licence

Vehicle rental or logistics experience is highly regarded, but not essential

$71,500 per year + superannuation

Company vehicle for work and approved personal use (post successful probation)

Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm
