About The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Coordinator to lead our Community Facilities Planning team at the City of Kwinana. We are searching for an individual who is eager to shape our existing and emerging community facilities and spaces.
As a leader, you will create a driven and positive workplace culture, encouraging curious minds who are willing to explore new ideas and take an innovative approach to streamlining operations. You will guide the team in building an active, healthy, and vibrant community for current and future generations through facility provision, planning and management.
Your well-developed network of industry contacts and stakeholders in community facility planning, development, and facility management, will be of great benefit in collaboration and resource-sharing efforts for effective project delivery.
Reporting to the Manager Community Facilities, you will be responsible for leading the planning, provision and management of community facilities. About You
To be successful in this role, you will need the following (selection criteria):
Demonstrated experience in creating a workplace culture where people are encouraged to be curious, understand their purpose and empowered to deliver the best outcomes.
Strong leadership skills and experience leading teams in an often ambiguous, evolving and complex environment.
Significant experience in developing and implementing Community Infrastructure Plans, including an understanding of funding models, developer contribution and guiding principles for planning facilities.
Experience in the service delivery and management of community facilities and spaces.
Proven experience in applying for and delivering grant-funded projects, report writing, acquittals and detailed data analysis.
Exceptional communication skills with strengths in persuasive conversations and negotiation skills.
Well-developed project management skills and experience.
Sound knowledge of community engagement techniques.
Tertiary qualification in community planning / development, recreation management, social planning, business development or a related field.
Current Driver’s Licence and Police Clearance.
Available to work after hours and weekends as needed. This position will also receive after-hours calls occasionally.
