Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS has an opportunity for a professional Customer Service Officer to work across our Taree head office and Port Macquarie office. The position is part time, offering 24 hours per week. This is a 6-month Parental Leave cover, from approximately end of July 2025 to end of January 2026.
The Customer Service Officer welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the phone and by answering or referring enquiries. The role includes providing administrative assistance and clerical support and requires accurate data entry and a positive and flexible attitude to assisting internal and external clients.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
Administrative support
Customer service (in person and over the phone)
Maintaining records
Managing organisational correspondence
Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Qualification as a Receptionist or equivalent industry experience.
Strong administration skills and attention to detail.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Understanding of the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
High level administrative skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and ability to use client databases
Current NSW driver’s licence
Reliable motor vehicle (including valid NSW registration and minimum third-party property damage insurance)
Personal Attributes:
Highly professional with the ability to act in a compassionate, non-judgemental manner.
A strong desire to provide quality client service.
A thorough understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles.
Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise and get things done.
