We are working with a respected large scale tier two commercial builder to appoint a Senior Contract Administrator for a high-profile $200 million boutique hotel development located in close proximity to Melbourne’s CBD.

Known for delivering award-winning projects across the commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors, this builder has a strong pipeline of secured work and a culture built on collaboration, quality, and professionalism. This particular project presents an exciting opportunity to work on one of Melbourne’s landmark hotel builds from early construction through to completion.

As Senior Contract Administrator, you will take a lead role in managing all commercial and contractual functions on the project, including:

• Preparing and managing scopes of work, RFIs, variations, and EOTs.
• Leading cost planning, forecasting, and reporting across a wide range of subcontract packages.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and resolving issues in collaboration with project and site teams.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications to ensure contractual clarity across head and subcontract levels.
• Ensuring subcontractor compliance and alignment with quality, time, and budget expectations.
• Supporting the successful onboarding and integration of subcontractors.
• Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff on the project.

What We’re Looking For:

• A tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in commercial construction, ideally on projects valued $50M+.
• Proven experience delivering high-end or technically complex builds (hotels, mixed-use, commercial towers etc.).
• Strong commercial acumen with sound knowledge of contract law, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a genuine drive to deliver exceptional results.
