Generalist Junior Lawyer with 1-2 years experience

We are a boutique law firm located in Geelong and Avondale Heights. The role is full-time working out of our Geelong Office. Our spacious Heritage-listed building has five office spaces and one conference room. You will work in a newly renovated space with large street-view windows allowing natural light. We are located a short distance from the Geelong train station, Geelong Magistrates’ Court and police station and the waterfront.

We are looking for a family lawyer with 2 years of experience. This experience may have been gained working at another firm and knowledge gained while completing your qualifications.

We are always busy taking on private clients and supporting clients requiring legal aid. The role will suit lawyers seeking to upskill and focus on family law.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must have a passion for working in a team to serve clients in the Geelong Region. You will need to be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy running your matters while having the support and guidance of a committed and experienced team who are focused on delivering excellent outcomes for the firm’s clients.

Experience in Family Law.

Ability to run and manage own case files including generating cost agreements.

Meet targets reaching billable hours daily.

Experience with direct client-facing, providing professional and honest service to clients.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Have strong emotional intelligence.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

2 years previous experience.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Honest and hardworking team player

Driver’s License

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Willingness to travel to Avondale Heights once a fortnight required.

Willingness to travel to all Victorian Courts when required.
