At the City of Prospect, our bold strategic plan, towards 2040, is shaping a future-focussed, people first city. With a commitment to delivering real outcomes across six key focus areas — Connected and Caring, Active and Engaged, Proud of our Past, Excited by our Future, Inclusive and Diverse, Creative and Innovative, and Responsible and Sustainable — we are creating a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable place for all.

One of our most significant and existing projects is now underway: the Prospect Lifestyle Precinct (PLP). Designed as a dynamic multi-purpose destination, the PLP will bring together community spaces, recreational and cultural offerings, and potential opportunities for residential and commercial development — all informed by design excellence, inclusivity and long-term sustainability.

Your Role

Working closely with the Director City Growth and Development and reporting to the Strategic Project Manager, you’ll be a vital part of the team coordinating the next phase of the PLP project. This is your chance to be involved in a legacy initiative — one that will shape Prospect’s future for generations to come.

From coordinating teams and consultants to supporting community engagement and project reporting, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation, ensuring the work stays on track, aligned, and impactful.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities include:

· Support delivery of the PLP Master Plan through effective coordination of people, information, and processes – internally and across our consultant team.

· Help bring concept plans to life that not only meet standards but embody sustainability and community value.

· Manage project timelines, documents and meetings, keeping the project team on target and informed.

· Assist with reports, procurement, tenders, and budget tracking to keep things running smoothly.

· Contribute to community engagement activities and communications that help build excitement and connection.

· Apply a curious, forward-thinking mindset through research and benchmarking of best-practice approaches.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be a confident communicator and strategic thinker who thrives in complex, collaborative environments. With a background in Planning, Property, Project Management or a similar field — and hands-on experience in project delivery — you understand how to move a big idea into practical action.

Experience working in a government setting will be highly regarded, but we’re equally open to fresh perspectives from other sectors who can bring new energy and innovation to this unique opportunity.
