About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and driven professional eager to advance their career in the residential construction industry. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing residential construction projects from pre-construction through to completion, while also preparing accurate estimates and cost plans. You’ll work closely with the Directors to help shape project strategy and uphold site standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

ESTIMATING

Monitor project costs and expenses to track progress and identify deviations from initial estimates.

Collect and maintain accurate, current data on material and labour costs.

Prepare sales estimates based on concept designs and working drawings (pre-contract phase).

Conduct estimating for client variations and post-contract construction.

Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and trades.

Prepare take offs and accurate BOQs from construction, electrical & engineering plans.

Prepare electrical plans.

Collaborate with suppliers to establish competitive agreements and pricing structures.

PROJECT COORDINATION

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files to support site supervisors.

Issue trade and supplier orders in preparation for site call-ups.

Coordinate with trades and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and product availability.

Support site supervisors with scheduling and procurement.

Oversee goods receipt and dispatch processes.

Manage and update product selection displays and monitor current design trends.

Assist with pre-construction documentation including Timber Framing, PLANSA, and certifications.

Liaise with designers, developers and engineers

Ensure all client documentation and sign-offs are completed prior to construction.

Provide IT support as required.

Support the maintenance division with administrative tasks including invoicing, quoting, and job scheduling.

Manage post-handover maintenance, defect resolution, and warranty claims.

Skills & Experience:

· Previous experience in a similar role within residential construction.

· Strong experience in Estimation, Project Coordination and Contracts Administration

· Strong understanding of construction plans, materials, and methods.

· Core understanding of the national construction code.

· Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Buildxact) and MS Office.

· Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Building, or Estimating (preferred).
