About The Role
Working as part of our clients project delivery team, the role of Pipe Crew Foreman covers a broad range of skills relating to project planning, construction and delivery. You will lead the construction team in the safe, efficient and successful delivery of construction works to the required specifications. You will report directly to the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
Duties include:
· You will be responsible for the day-to-day site management including all aspects of the project (including health, safety, environmental and quality performance) and will lead the construction delivery team, including any subcontractors.
· Project planning to facilitate safe and efficient delivery of the construction works
· Coordination of resource requirements (personnel/plant/materials/equipment/PPE) with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, Subcontractors and Yard Coordinator as required to ensure the safe and efficient completion of project activities, including delivery.
· Surveillance of subcontractor and suppliers work, plant and materials delivered
· Implementation of the Communications Management Plan with respect to ensuring adequate customer notifications are completed prior to works proceeding
· Coordinating inspection and testing (and maintaining required documentation including photos) as required in the project Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
· Document control on site ensuring that relevant documents are available to all those carrying out work including current contract drawings and specifications, DBYD plans, permits and ITPs.
· Responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the delivered product by all parties on site including review and surveillance of internal, subcontractor and supplier activities for compliance with contract requirements
· Maintaining a detailed daily diary of the works completed to record daily site occurrences, report progress, report any near misses and explain any delays or hold-ups especially those that could affect the continuity of scheduled work.
· Keeping the Project Manager informed of issues that have the potential to impact project delivery, HSEQ issues and concerns and customer and client satisfaction issues.
· Actively participating in a project de-brief upon completion of the project and transferring that knowledge within the organisation.
· Attention to detail, accuracy and quality control is a key component of this role to ensure the client fulfils its contractual obligations with our clients and maintains high standards for safe and consistent project delivery
What You Will Need
· Drivers Licence + reliable transport
· Construction White Card
· Relevant industry experience as a Foreman in the Civil Infrastructure industry
· Proven working knowledge reading and understanding drawings and specifications
· Strong communication, customer service and problem solving skills
· Knowledge of safety regulations & best practices
· Commit to a Monday - Friday roster (Saturdays when required)
