About the Role:

We’re seeking a passionate Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead the maternity services at our partnered regional healthcare facility in the beautiful Riverina area of NSW. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a dedicated team, ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality maternity care, and drive continuous improvement across all midwifery services.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Provide strong clinical leadership and mentorship to midwifery and nursing staff

Oversee daily operations and resource management to ensure efficient, safe patient care

Lead strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives within the maternity unit

Collaborate with senior management and multidisciplinary teams

Ensure compliance with clinical governance, best practices, and organizational policies

Participate in ACHS accreditation processes

What We’re Looking For:

Current dual Ahpra registration as a Nurse and Midwife

Tertiary qualifications in Midwifery

Post-registration experience across all midwifery domains (antenatal, postnatal, birthing, newborn care)

Proven experience in clinical leadership, team management, and strategic planning

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
