An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated accounts professional to join their team based in Melbourne's Western suburbs.

Position Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a small team, you will be responsible for:

• Executing international payments with accuracy, considering the complexities of various currencies
• Oversee financial transactions related to international trade
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Handling foreign exchange contracts and working with letters of credit
• Processing international invoices
• Handling queries and discrepancies
• Ensuring compliance with international regulations
• Collaboratively participate in strategic planning and continued process improvement
• Reporting duties and ad hoc tasks as required

Ideal Candidate
To be considered successful in the role, you will possess the following attributes:

• Prior experience with foreign currency and international trade
• Understanding of shipping related finances
• Proven experience in an accounts payable environment
• A keen eye for detail
• High level time management skills & the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
