The role

• Delivering expert skills to empower clients to manage the in’s and out’s of their tax, superannuation, financial management structuring and planning challenges
• Working with a talented, diverse team to address the varied needs of our clients and support each other to develop and grow
• Being intrigued, interested and inspired by the interests of our clients, so we can really make a difference and apply our skills and experience to most effect I our work with them

The key responsibilities

Complete client advisory job engagements including:

• Tax & business planning advice including preparing & reviewing Financial Statements in in accordance with, legal and accounting reporting standards
• Preparing & reviewing Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, Income Tax Returns, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns
• Superannuation advice and support
• Assisting with Business Valuations
• Assisting with Year-end planning
• Assisting with Corporate structure advice
• Assisting and advising clients before, during and after Australian Tax Office audits
• Build & develop valued client relationships
• Support the development of other team members where applicable
• Liaise with the tax office and other third parties on behalf of clients as and when required;

What you’ll bring to the role

• Sound expertise in one or more key areas of Accounting & Business advisory with a desire to leverage these strengths and develop more depth in other areas, building out your business acumen in the process
• As well as pumping through work packages with efficiency and sharp attention to detail you’ll demonstrate an interest in applying your expertise to the novel and nuanced challenges facing our clients
• A desire and flair for working with others because our team is all the better for the differences we bring to the table
• A lively and open interest in business and what makes business tick, so you can deepen working and client relationships

Your qualifications & experience will include

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Completed or completing CPA or CA qualifications
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of Australian tax practices and law
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks
• Curiosity about how AI can help you execute your work
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
