A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage a Senior Linux Administrator to support the delivery of secure and robust ICT services. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team supporting advanced Linux systems and infrastructure used in high-security research and innovation environments. This role offers an initial 12-month contract with a strong view to extend and is open to candidates based in SA or VIC.

The successful Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Delivering day-to-day Linux support and secure system administration

Managing workloads, system upgrades, and configuration changes

Administering CentOS/RedHat environments, including troubleshooting and patching

Responding to security incidents and maintaining secure infrastructure

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

Strong skills in Linux scripting (Bash, Perl, or Python)

High-level experience in CentOS/RedHat system administration

Web interface design in a backend Linux server environment

Experience with Ansible, MFA implementation, and PKI systems
