Responsibility:
The Warehouse Supervisor has the responsibility to co-ordinate the day to day running of the Warehouse and to supervise the Warehouse staff.
All of the responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor are to be carried out according to:
- the wishes of the Operations Manager
- the needs of the Company
Authority:
The Warehouse Supervisor has the authority to co-ordinate the Warehouse activities as he/she sees to be best. The Warehouse Supervisor has full authority over the Warehouse if this authority is supported by the Operations Manager.
Accountability:
The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable to the Operations Manager.
The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the general running of the Warehouse.
Duty:
It is the duty of the Warehouse Supervisor to observe and comply with the policies as set out in the Velcro Australia Employee Company Policy handbook.
It is the duty of the Warehouse Supervisor to respond to the needs of the Company and its Warehouse staff, and to respond to the wishes of the Operations Manager.
It is the duty of the Warehouse Supervisor to perform his/her job in an industrious and co-operative manner and to assist in the general day to day running of the Company.
- to co-ordinate and monitor the general activities of the Warehouse
- to supervise the Warehouse staff
- to work in conjunction with the Fabrications Supervisor to make a conscious effort to adhere to and to co-ordinate the processing of the current stock requirements at any one time
- to ensure that the stock and inventory procedures are adhered to when dealing with the movement or processing of stock
- to liaise with the Sales Support personnel in order to communicate and respond to (1) the priorities of the orders that have been placed, and (2) the current availability of the Product lines of the Company
- to work in conjunction with the Storeperson to co-ordinate the intake of goods (this includes the unloading of containers, and the unloading of general inward goods)
- to work in conjunction with the Storeperson to prepare goods for despatch and to despatch goods according to the Customer orders that are placed
- to co-ordinate the processing and inspection of all inward and despatched goods
- to have responsibility, authority and accountability for the final inspection and testing of processed goods
- to diagnose and process non-conforming product in accordance with the applicable Quality Procedure/s and Work Instruction/s
- to organise the freight of despatched goodsto assist the Country Manager in the monitoring of stock movement and stock control
- to be responsible for the management and control of the physical stocktake
- to be the primary member of personnel who is responsible for co-ordinating and recording the regular servicing and maintenance of the Warehouse equipment
- to ensure that quality procedures are carried out by the Warehouse staff in the manner as described in the applicable Procedure/s and Work Instruction/s for Warehouse staff and according to the wishes of the Systems Manager
- to ensure that all Warehouse staff are adequately trained for the tasks that they are performing, and to ensure that all training of the Warehouse staff is recorded and monitored according to applicable Quality Procedure/s and Work Instruction/s
- to ensure that all essential documents and records that are used within the Warehouse are processed and dealt with according to the appropriate Quality Procedure/s and Work Instruction/s
- to ensure that the designated safety standards are adhered to, and equipment safety checks are carried out, by all Warehouse staff
- to ensure that the Storeperson work at an acceptable rate
- to carry out Warehouse activities in the manner as described in the applicable Quality Procedure/s and the Work Instruction/s for the Warehouse Supervisor and according to the wishes of the Operations Manager
- to assist in the regular assessment and improvement of the Quality Management System
- to complete processing of Cash Sales for Customers who come onto the premises of Velcro Australia Pty Ltd after a Sales Support person has completed the administration of the Cash Sale
- to ensure that the Fork Lift is used in a safe manner, and to ensure that the Fork Lift is only used by members of personnel who are adequately qualified
