About the role

Seeking experienced, dedicated, and empathetic support workers for our brand-new accommodations in Ivanhoe, Victoria. Become part of our team at this five-star facility, where we provide tailored one-to-one support to clients dealing with AOD, mental health, complex behavior and intellectual disabilities. Join us in creating a transformative experience for participants, helping them embark on a journey of recovery, rejuvenation, and recalibration through our innovative transdisciplinary approach.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Certificate IV in AOD/Mental Health or equivalent qualification

1+ years' prior experience: Providing one-to-one support in AOD, mental health, community services, or forensic sectors, with a focus on complex clients.

Experience with diverse challenges: Supporting individuals dealing with substance use, mental illness, intellectual disability, and homelessness.

Non-government sector experience: Familiarity with AOD and/or MH environments.

Strong communication skills: Proficient in report and case note writing.

Resilience and adaptability: Thriving in challenging and high-pressure environments.

Legal knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation like the Mental Health Act and Privacy Act.

Recovery-focused approach: Solid grasp of harm minimization strategies for substance abuse treatment.

Animal Friendly: ability to working with clients with pets such as dogs and cats.

Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
