As the Head Chef you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and direct the kitchen team to ensure the efficient and timely preparation and presentation of all menu items

In conjunction with the Executive Chef and Directors, develop and refine the menu, incorporating locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients

Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and quality control in the kitchen

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing coaching and mentoring to kitchen team

Work closely with the FOH management team to align kitchen operations with the overall business strategy

Kitchen budget management - labour and stock control, and managing weekly reporting processes

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in high end, premium dining environments

Proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing kitchen team

Strong culinary skills and knowledge of contemporary cooking techniques and trends, with an understanding of Japanese ingredients and dishes

Excellent time management and organisational abilities to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen

Passion for creating innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal produce

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

You must have permanent working rights in Australia (Citizenship or Permanent Residency)
