Hapuku Fisheries Pty Ltd, trading as Prime Fish Australia, is an established commercial tuna longline fishing company operating in the Australian Fishing Zone. We are currently seeking full-time Australian candidates for the following positions aboard our vessels:

DECKHAND

Salary Range: $65,000–$70,000 per annum (commission-based structure)

Location: Based in Southport QLD, with travel to other east coast ports as required

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Australia, evidenced by a signed sea-time logbook or equivalent

Physically fit, reliable, and capable of working in challenging sea conditions

Willing to work away from home for extended trips (several days or weeks at sea)

Able to perform manual work on deck, including in cramped spaces and heavy seas

Must hold all relevant maritime tickets or licences where applicable

Must comply with a drug and alcohol-free workplace policy (random testing conducted)

Remuneration will be commission-based and negotiated in line with industry standards, experience, and performance.

MARINE (SHIP’S) ENGINEER

Salary Range: $75,000+ per annum (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Based in Southport QLD, with travel to other east coast ports as required

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications and maritime engineering certification

At least 2-3 years of experience as a marine engineer on commercial vessels

Demonstrated ability to manage engine room operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Strong understanding of safety procedures and AMSA compliance

Willingness to spend extended periods at sea

Remuneration will be negotiated based on qualifications, skills, experience, and vessel performance.
