About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, management and delivery of capital infrastructure projects across the Scouts Queensland property portfolio. This role will ensure high-quality, timely and cost-effective delivery of projects funded through government grants and internal infrastructure programs. The position will also provide expert advice and oversight on risk, procurement, compliance and project governance.
Key functions of the role will include:
Lead delivery of state-level capital infrastructure projects from feasibility to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and risk assessments.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure project alignment and statutory compliance.
Oversee project procurement activities including tender documentation, evaluation and contract negotiations.
Monitor project progress, identify issues and implement corrective actions where required.
Prepare and present reports to senior management, the Branch Executive and external funding bodies.
Ensure all works meet relevant WHS, building codes and Scouts Queensland standards.
Support master planning, site strategy development and long-term asset management initiatives.
Identify opportunities to secure co-funding or in-kind support through grants or partnerships.
About you
Proven ability to lead complex projects through all phases including planning, procurement, construction and close-out.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, project governance and risk management frameworks.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
High level of financial and budget management capability.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within a construction environment.
This role is being offered for as twelve-month full-time contract only.
