Flexible Salary Package depending on candidate, anticipated bracket between $180,000 - $210,000 + Super

Our client is an established, National contractor with a specialism in delivering D&C Government focused commercial building and refurbishment projects throughout Australia. Due to a heavy work-load and 2 x additional recently secured $20M+ projects this building contractor seeks to hire an construction Project Manager with previous, demonstrable success with mid-tier construction and refurbishment contractors in Australia.

In this position you will be reporting to the QLD Construction Manager, with a team in place under your guidance initially you will be solely responsible for overseeing the delivery of a $20M social housing project for the QLD Govt. You will direct & supervise a wide cross section of sub-contractors and be proficient programming and budgeting. You will have a sound contractual understanding and importantly you will be required to utilize your excellent communication & interpersonal skills to liase with clients and architects, whilst continually representing the company in a professional manner.

To be suitable for this position it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

Ideally a degree in Construction Management or similar tertiary qualification.

Will have worked in the construction industry for a minimum of 10 years, ideally in the form of Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Site Manager, CA and of course a Project Manager position.

As a Project Manager will have delivered new build institutional, Govt, commercial or industrial projects upto and in excess of $20M.

Experience delivering public sector / government projects would be hugely advantageous.

Experience delivering medium density housing for non-for profit agencies will be deemed highly desirable.

Will have worked for established, systems driven contractors in Brisbane

Will have worked with established costing and programming systems such as Procore, Jobpac, CHEOPS, MS Projects, Aconex etc

Will be Brisbane based or relocating to the area
