We’re Sara Lee – a proudly privately owned bakery and desserts brand known for our high-quality products and strong presence in the Australian market. As a family-owned business, we offer something unique: the chance to work directly with passionate owners who are actively involved in the day-to-day operations and the strategic direction of the company.
With a flat organisational structure, we foster open communication and collaboration across all levels. This means your ideas are heard, your initiative is valued, and you have the opportunity to make a real impact.
We value a 'have a go' mindset — an environment where learning by doing is encouraged, and employees are empowered to take ownership of their work and grow with the business.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to join the team and help elevate the Sara Lee brand even further in the retail space. In this role, you’ll develop and execute trade marketing strategies that drive visibility, boost sales, and strengthen relationships with our retail partners across Australia.
You’ll collaborate closely with sales and production teams to manage new product launches, create compelling sell decks, and ensure all activity aligns with both market needs and our broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Implement Strategy: Create and execute trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored promotional strategies for key retail accounts.
Manage NPD Timelines: Oversee in-store activations and merchandising, ensuring timely delivery aligned with product launches.
Analyse & Optimise: Monitor the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and adjust strategies based on data and market trends.
Retail Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with key retail partners.
Ensure Brand Consistency: Maintain brand standards across all trade marketing materials and activities.
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years of experience in trade marketing within the FMCG industry.
Proven success in executing trade marketing campaigns and in-store activations.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing NPD projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with trade marketing platforms is a plus.
What We Offer
Competitive salary and benefits.
The chance to work directly with owners in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
A collaborative, inclusive workplace culture that encourages innovation.
Opportunities for professional development and career growth as we continue to expand.
This is a sweet opportunity to join an iconic Australian brand and play a key role in shaping our future. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for trade marketing and retail success, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now and be part of something truly delicious.
