Pleasant Foods is a forty year old family business specialising in B2B sales of specialty Bakery and Patisserie ingredients. We are growing our team, and as such, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative to join us to continue to drive growth within South East Queensland.
The successful candidate will be driven to assist our customers in understanding available products, both existing and new, and constantly innovating the customer experience for them.
The role offers a good mix between our Tennyson office and time in the field with our customer base across SEQ.
As a diverse customer relations and sales-based representative, you would be required to build relationships, provide accurate advice on bakery products, convert sales and orders, as well as work with the Sales, Admin, and Distribution teams to assist clients with growing their bakery businesses.
Part of the role would be maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients, building sales and loyalty, and identifying new leads and opportunities across the territory.

An understanding of the quoting process and quoting/inventory/CRM software is desirable. Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office 365 and ERP system exposure is also important.
Key Accountabilities
Execute reports, analyse data, generate actionable insights and analytics for the company to be able to continuously improve the customer experience and processes.
Support operations on processing sales orders from customers and proactively communicate with customers and business partners on issues, challenges and provide solutions.
Execute customer service strategies, be part of a team to drive customer experience initiatives, and embrace the philosophy of customer first mindset and behaviors in everything we do, building a strong rapport with customers.
Provide support for continuous improvement projects to improve the customer experience, reengineer processes, and transform systems to be customer centric.
Handle basic issues and problems, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate management.
Perform informal and formal needs assessments for each customer to recommend appropriate goods and services.
Develop a rapport with customers, demonstrating a friendly and helpful manner to put them at ease.
Maintain a neat and clean appearance to represent a positive image of the company and its brand at all times.
Participate in training and professional development, and put new skills to immediate and meaningful use.
Foster a positive and pleasant working relationship with members of the customer service sales team.
Familiarise yourself with current information about products available for customers.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Strong communication skills, 2nd language such as Vietnamese or French (highly regarded).
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Comfortable working with technology, data and numbers.
A team player with troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to cooperate with and support other members of customer service team.
Willingness to interact daily with customers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
Must be comfortable working independently and making decisions without direct supervision.
Good sense of organization and keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of customer service best practices and desire to participate in trainings and professional development.
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced working environment.
