We are currently seeking applications for a Business Analyst to join Financial Services at The Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of up to 11 months.
Remuneration: ASO5 - Salary Range ($85,790 - $95,413p.a.).
About the opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to deliver strategic change and improve efficiency and quality of services provided within Financial Services. This is a key role working with a variety of stakeholders in Shared Services SA to evaluate the impacts and implement change and improvement initiatives within the business. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have an analytical background, coupled with the ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations, this opportunity is perfect for you.
About you
To be successful you will have:
Ability to analyse and document complex business processes.
Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
Demonstrated experience developing business requirements documents, engaging stakeholders and users, identifying solutions and implementing changes.
Experience working in a continuous improvement or business case evaluation role in a large complex organisation.
Knowledge of Lean principles gained through appropriate Operations Management and Lean training, or similar are highly desirable.
Ability to assist in the culture change of teams to take process ownership and to drive their own continuous improvement.
Experience in the collection, presentation, and analysis of information.
Superior skills in Excel.
Ability to identify operational issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research skills to develop appropriate approaches for resolution.
Proven ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships.
Ability to prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines, remain focussed on key objectives and manage competing activities and tasks in a demanding work environment.
Demonstrated experience in the application of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including Code of Ethics, EEO and cultural inclusion.
An understanding of the legislative requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.
An understanding of and ability to work/manage to the spirit and principles of AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk management - Guidelines.
