About the role

As a Lead Educator at Kallahra Child Care Centre in Norman Gardens, QLD, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality educational and care services to children. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners.

What you'll be doing

Plan, implement and evaluate educational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children

Foster a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children

Effectively communicate with parents, caregivers and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's learning and wellbeing

Supervise and mentor junior educators, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team

Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

Extensive experience as a Lead Educator or Senior Educator in a similar childcare setting

Demonstrated ability to design and implement engaging educational programs that cater to children's individual needs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues

Sound knowledge of child development, early learning frameworks and relevant legislation and regulations

Commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting the wellbeing of children

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
