Systems and Network Engineer

About Us

Cookers Bulk Oil System is an established Australian-owned company and market leader in the bulk cooking oil industry. With a national footprint and growing demand for innovation across our systems, we are seeking an experienced and driven Systems and Network Engineer to join our Derrimut Head Office IT team.

This role is a critical hire as we continue to grow and invest in our national IT infrastructure and internal capability. While we have been supported by offshore expertise, we are now bringing this role onshore to meet increasing technical demands and ensure on-site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions for an enterprise environment (250+ users)

• Deploy, upgrade and maintain MS Windows Servers, with strong capability in Hyper-V, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and IIS

• Manage and secure enterprise networks – from network architecture and configuration to firewall administration

• Support implementation and migration projects including Microsoft Exchange (2013+), VMware vSphere (7.0+), Citrix XenApp, SAN/NAS

• Manage and optimise web and email proxy services including Mimecast

• Administer backup technologies including StorageCraft, OneXafe, and Veeam

• Lead root cause analysis, problem management and proactive incident reduction

• Configure and manage Omnissa UEM with Tunnel and Network Detection & Response platforms

• Be the point of escalation for the internal IT team

• Mentor and train team members, contribute to internal documentation and process improvement

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in IT support, including 3 years in a senior role (L3, Engineer, Consultant)

• Demonstrated experience delivering full infrastructure solutions including planning, deployment and support

• Deep knowledge of networking principles, network security, and systems integration

• Strong experience in on-premises infrastructure environments

• Familiarity with antivirus technologies (Sophos preferred), backup and disaster recovery platforms

• Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills

Qualifications & Certifications

• MSc in Cyber Security or equivalent

• Microsoft certifications (MCSE/MCITP)

• Cisco CCNA, LANCOM, or Citrix

• ITIL v3 or v4 certified

• Experience with Sophos XG/XGS firewalls is highly desirable
