Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Integration to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.
The Senior Integration Engineer is a member of the Integration, Identity and Web Platforms team who takes responsibility for maintaining and improving a complex landscape of business critical solutions, provide operational support to our customers and help implementing QUT's digital transformation strategy. This role will work in partnership with team members, clients, managed service partners and other IT professionals and has the focus on designing integration solutions related to projects and initiatives transforming QUT’s Corporate Applications environment. The work undertaken by this team is critical to driving business efficiencies. The appointee may be required to be contactable and/or work outside of standard business hours on occasion. These instances will be treated in accordance with the relevant provisions in the Enterprise Agreement for Professional Staff.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate and extensive relevant experience in integration in a large and diverse organisation.
- Proven experience in working with key technical and business stakeholders, and enterprise architects to drive correct integration architecture and principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of complex data model, derive functional and non-functional integration requirements and test scenarios from Solution Architecture / Business Architecture documentation.
- Proficiency in creating architectural documentation, in order to produce technical analysis documents for design and implementation purposes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cloud-based service providers such as AWS and Azure, API Management, enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, and data integration patterns, including Pub/Sub Messaging, Event Driven Architecture, EIP, and iPaaS.
- Demonstrated experience in Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot and Grails as well as EiPaaS platforms like Boomi or MuleSoft to design and build solutions that integrate enterprise applications hosted on-premise and in the Cloud or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills.
- Well- developed interpersonal, communication and time management skills, including conflict management and negotiation skills, and a proven approach in building successful collaborative working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders that support achievement of outcomes in a high-level interdependency working environment.
