Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Test Lead (3 Positions Available) to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.
The Senior Consultant, Test Lead is essential in the management, coordination and operationalisation of the portfolio test practice, ensuring test artefacts, approaches, processes and quality meets and is aligned to QUT and industry standards. This role will work in partnership with portfolio leadership, technical teams, vendors, projects and key business stakeholders to provide pragmatic advice, fit-for-purpose recommendations, and hands on test execution, with the aim to improve portfolio test management reliability, leadership and compliance. This position reports to the Manager, Digital Portfolio, Digital Enabling Services for career planning, development, and performance expectations

What you need to succeed
- Education and/or training equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience.
- Proven experience in leading and executing testing efforts for implementations, upgrades, and integrations in a large-scale organisation.
- Significant experience developing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases (manual and automated) that ensure thorough coverage and traceability across functional, regression, and non-functional requirements.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex problems and technical issues, identify root causes, evaluate test results, identify risks, propose effective solutions and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with test management tools across manual, automated, and performance testing.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate, collaborate and facilitate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including vendors, development teams, and end-users across departments.
