About the role
We are seeking a driven and motivated New Business Manager to join this highly regarded full service financial services firm on the city fringe and support the Head Insurance Advisor. As a key member of our financial planning team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and driving the growth of our insurance advice piece within our financial planning division.
The key responsibilities of the role include lead generation and new business processing where duties will include:
What you'll be doing
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Summarise monthly renewal reports
Reviewing premiums and products for clients using Risk Researcher
Prepare summary of existing cover and alternate cover
Work collaboratively with Head Insurance Advisor on product selection
Preparing documentation and collation of client information for fact find and SOA production
Submitting new business applications and relevant follow up of client signatures
Issuing new policy cover and preparation of client welcome correspondence
Maintaining client information accurately on the database
Participation in team and firm meetings and industry events
Participate in industry events and networking activities to raise the company's profile
Provide regular reporting on sales performance and pipeline
What we're looking for
Experience in a new business development or sales role within the insurance industry or financial planning industry preferred
Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients
Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
Thorough understanding of insurance products and industry regulations
Desire to work with a very well regarded high end financial advice firm long term
Experience within a financial planning environment highly favoured
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related field is essential
