Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with an established construction company, with a growing project pipeline. Our client has over 10 years of experience specialising in quality commercial fitouts, building refurbishments and commercial construction. A stand-out Estimator will support their growing pipeline, especially supporting their fitout & refurb construction projects.

As an Estimator you will be in charge of creating and maintaining accurate estimates of projects end-to-end, ensuring all tenders comply with government regulations, legislation and industry standards. You will also be well-experienced in tendering projects between $5 million and $20 million, especially in the commercial construction and fitout space.

The majority of our clients’ projects are based in Metro Melbourne, with their client base including government schools, childcares, and other reputable businesses.

What do you do?

• Preparing take-offs and accurate estimates
• Managing tenders end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, legislation and industry codes
• Read and interpret plans and other documents with a high degree of accuracy
• Conducting risk assessments of design and contracts
• Maintain effective document management
• Maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, including with trade contractors, internal staff and clients
• Attending site on an ad-hoc basis

What do you need?

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction - new build, refurb and fit-out
• Experience tendering and winning projects between $5mil-$20mil
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Cubit, Cost X, Buildsoft, EstimateOne)
• Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office
• Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence
• Police Check & Working with Children Check required
