About the Role

As a senior member of the estimating team, you will work closely with the executive team and lead a small group of experienced estimators. You will play a pivotal role in formulating competitive tenders and delivering accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and construction requirements

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates

Develop competitive bid proposals and project schedules

Conduct material take-offs and source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

Analyse all costs, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads

Lead and mentor a small team of estimators

Continuously refine and improve estimating processes

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project expectations

About You

You are a commercially savvy estimator with a strong background in the construction industry and a keen eye for detail. You have an analytical mind, are team-oriented, capable of leading with confidence.

To you have;

Proven experience in commercial construction estimating?

Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying?

Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint)?

Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes?

Excellent communication and negotiation skills?

Experience preparing and submitting tenders?

The ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with a dynamic team?
