Senior Program Manager
Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 12 months
Daily Rate: Up to $1350 per day incl. super
Sector: Insurance / financial services (industry experience an added bonus)

This project is a high-impact platform transformation. They are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager to drive end-to-end technical delivery of a new platform as part of a strategic, enterprise-wide change initiative.
This 12-month contract role will sit at the heart of a cross-functional delivery engine, overseeing coordination across squads from Sprint through to end-user acceptance. It’s ideal for someone with strong delivery leadership, deep understanding of Agile practices, and proven success in managing complex programs involving partners, migrations, and renewal capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical delivery stream for a major platform build, from discovery and Sprint through to operational handover.
• Develop and execute an end-to-end delivery roadmap, including PI Planning, across multiple delivery teams
• Partner with the Business Program Manager to align planning across business and technical streams.
• Coordinate and drive Scrum of Scrums, ensuring cross-team alignment and velocity.
• Facilitate delivery governance, risk and assurance reviews, and sprint health tracking using Jira, Confluence, and Agile metrics.
• Collaborate with architects and platform/product leads to align with enterprise architecture and data standards.
• Oversee system integration testing (SIT), security and risk assurance processes, including penetration testing and asset onboarding
• Escalate issues to the Program Director and Business Program Manager, proactively mitigating delivery risks.
• Provide input into resource tracking and program financials

About You:

• 7+ years’ experience as a Program Manager in complex technology projects.
• Proven track record in enterprise-level transformation delivery across Agile environments.
• Deep understanding of Agile principles and tools – Jira, Confluence
• Hands-on and delivery-focused – willing to dive into detail to keep the program moving.
• Certifications such as SAFe, Agile PM are a bonus
• Prior experience in an insurance organisation will be highly regarded.
