Your new role
In your new role as a Process Improvement Engineer, you will work within the Operations department and report directly to the Plant Manager. This position is a crucial part of the business and will lead the continuous improvement agenda with a focus on maximising efficiency, reducing waste and achieving Business Unit & Group objectives for safety, quality, and environment.
- Conduct detailed assessments of current processes to identify areas of inefficiency, waste, and potential improvement
- Use statistical analysis and process mapping tools to understand and improve workflows
- Lead & participate in continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
- Manage & execute process improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement
- Train & mentor employees on process improvement tools, techniques and best practices
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gain buy-in and support for process improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualifications in Project Management or Engineering
- Engineering or project management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Project management skills
- Experience with continuous improvement tools and frameworks including LEAN, TQM/TPM, Kaizen & Six Sigma
- Knowledge and experience in ERP systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
