About Us

Since 2016, Step Up has provided Adaptive Physical Education (APE) and Physical and Social Activity Group Programs to people with special needs and has expanded to Health Services, Exercise Physiology and sports science. We aim to encourage, motivate and consistently support individuals’ disabilities through high-quality healthcare services, professional advice, and expertise. Our common clientele are individuals with intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome and developmental delays. We also work with a steady number of individuals living with cerebral palsy, stroke and other neurological conditions.

Your main responsibilities (as an Exercise Physiologist):

Work with ESSA Team

Conduct initial assessments and deliver tailored and adaptive exercise prescriptions

Provide appropriate education, lifestyle modification and behaviour change programs for participants, staff and support workers as required.

Communicating and working efficiently and collaboratively to ensure optimal outcomes for our participants

Perform administration duties promptly (weekly tasks, writing reports, emails, clinical notes, scheduling, follow-ups etc.)

Essential Selection Criteria:

Excellent independent skills and problem-solving skills

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

Hold a current P2 or Full License with your vehicle

Outstanding administration and computer skills

Required Certificates for this role:

Full working rights in Australia

Bachelor or Master of Exercise Physiology (University Degree)

ESSA Accreditation (renew every year)

First Aid Certificate (renew every 3 years)

CPR Certificate (renew every 1 year)

(WWCC) Working with Children’s Certificate - Paid Work Version (renew every 5 years)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (renew every 5 years)

Working Hours:

Ordinary Full-time 38 hours per week (Part-time may be available)

(OPTIONAL) Can discuss an opportunity to work on Saturday fortnightly with $99 per session as a Sub-Contractor.

Epping Clinic

Up to 3 x Mobile services per week (Blacktown, Homebush, Parramatta, The Ponds, Hills Regions)
