About the role:

Various accounting and taxation needs of our clients and including, but not limited to:

exposure to a variety of industries including medical, professional services, trade, agriculture, manufacturing, hospitality, retail and property

assistance with and responsibility for the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for clients including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

assistance with the preparation of business activity statements and instalment activity statements

preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and payroll tax returns

The ideal candidate will have:

at least 3 years prior experience in accounting with a strong academic track record

exceptional communication skills

strong understanding of Australian Tax Law and accounting concepts

strong understanding of fundamental business concepts

strong ability to analyze and interpret financial information

a high focus on providing excellent client service

excellent time management and attention to detail

a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others

professional personal presentation

ability to work under pressure

a strong work ethic and initiative

commitment to further training and professional development

What we'd love from you:

at least 3 years experience in an accounting practice

degree qualified and working toward, or preparing to work toward, obtaining CPA status

ability to identify how to maximize returns for clients and be able to understand deductibility of certain items

previous exposure to accounting and tax software with strong skills in using MYOB, Xero and Intuit Quickbooks. FYIDocs, XPA and APS will also be highly regarded.
