An opportunity has become available for an Accountant to join our accounting and tax practice based in the Prahran / South Yarra area.

This company has a friendly and close-nit team who provide accounting, tax and business advisory services to a large client base made up of individuals and businesses from Melbourne and around the world.

Be competent in utilising IT systems and software and confident in your ability to pick up new systems.

The main responsibilities and duties of the role are:

The role primarily involves

Providing support and assistance in the completion of accounting and taxation work for a broad range of clients.

Preparation of financial statements and taxation returns for individuals, companies and trusts.

Processing monthly client bookkeeping and BAS preparation, using a variety of client accounting packages, Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.

Skills and experience

It is essential that you have completed or close to completion of a Bachelor of Business/Commerce majoring in accounting or have extensive experience.

You will need to be skilled in using business financial packages such as Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.

As this role will provide client contact, you must be well presented and display excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will need a high level of attention to detail and exceptional time management skills.

The ability to work in a team environment.
