- Working Berrinba 2 days/week, CBD 1 day/week and remaining WFH.
- $75.75 - $90.47 per hour + Super (38 hours PAYG)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly adaptable and proactive Organisational Change Specialist to support the delivery of a major realignment within a dynamic, fast-paced Government program environment. The role will work closely with the Change Manager and HR to implement people-focused change activities, facilitate consultation, and support staff through transition.
This contractor role is hands-on and will suit someone who brings experience in delivering structured change, managing multiple priorities, and working collaboratively across teams. The role will also contribute to broader people-related change initiatives across the program as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adapt and apply the overarching Change Management Plan to realignment activities.
- Coordinate and support consultation processes, including stakeholder briefings and feedback loops.
- Partner with HR to facilitate organisational structure changes, role transitions, and approvals.
- Draft and coordinate key communications, talking points, FAQs and staff updates.
- Analyse and summarise feedback from surveys, engagement sessions, and informal channels.
- Develop and support implementation of transition plans for affected teams and individuals.
- Monitor change readiness and resistance and escalate risks or issues where needed.
- Collaborate with internal communications and project delivery teams to align messaging and engagement efforts.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to change reporting, logs, and lessons learned.
- Support other change initiatives across the program as needed, including staff accommodation, team redesigns or new process rollouts.
Key Capabilities:
- Strong experience in organisational change management (e.g. Prosci or similar methodology).
- Solid project management experience including risk management.
- Proven ability to support people transitions in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to tailor messaging for varied audiences.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Curious, proactive, and solution-focused – able to pivot and respond to evolving program priorities.
- Confident working independently and as part of a actively collaborative change and project team.
- Public sector experience and/or familiarity with workforce change processes (desirable).
