Our client is a well-established NSW-based construction company specializing in residential home builds, known for delivering high-quality multi-unit developments across the region. They are currently hiring for a seasoned Construction Manager/Director with a Class 1 Building License and a strong track record delivering high-volume residential projects. You will be the HANDS-ON leader who ensures every detail of construction runs smoothly — from hiring trades and sourcing materials, to managing supply chains and driving projects to successful completion on-site.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead full lifecycle residential home build projects with direct on-site presence and leadership.

Recruit, manage, and coordinate subcontractors and tradespeople across multiple teams.

Source construction materials locally and overseas, securing competitive pricing and maintaining strict quality control.

Oversee freight forwarding, customs clearance, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted supply chain flow to construction sites.

Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.

Ensure all construction complies with building codes, safety standards, and client expectations.

Serve as the primary liaison with architects, engineers, and local authorities.

Maintain detailed documentation for contracts, permits, and compliance.

Requirements:

Mandatory Class 1 Building License (Class 2 highly desirable).

Minimum 10 years’ hands-on construction management experience in volume residential developments (houses, townhouses, subdivisions, multi-unit projects).

Proven ability to manage multiple teams and complex supply chains on-site, delivering projects on time and within budget.

Strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proactive hands-on approach.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with project management software and cost control.
