About the role
Are you looking to grow your career in payroll with a supportive and community-focused organisation? We're seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team and help deliver accurate, reliable payroll services for our employees. This is a great role for someone with some experience in payroll or administration who's ready to build their skills in a professional environment.
As a Payroll Officer, you'll play an important part in ensuring our employees are paid correctly and on time. You'll assist with payroll processing, manage employee records, respond to queries, and support key payroll functions under the guidance of a Senior Payroll Officer.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with preparing and processing fortnightly payroll, including leave and role changes
- Process PAYG, superannuation, and salary sacrifice as part of each pay cycle
- Maintain accurate employee records using our internal systems
- Support new starter, termination, and employee change processes
- Help respond to payroll queries and raise complex issues with the Senior Payroll Officer
- Contribute to month-end and year-end payroll activities
Who we are Looking for:
To be considered for this position, you will need to be:
Organised and comfortable working with numbers
- Experienced in payroll or accounts (even just a little!)
- Familiar with using payroll or HR systems, or willing to learn
- Great with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- A good communicator and team player
