P.J. O'Brien's is hiring Duty Managers . We’re on the hunt for experienced Duty Managers to join the leadership team at P.J. O’Brien’s Southbank.

Set on the lively Southbank promenade, P.J. O’Brien’s is the kind of pub where the Guinness flows, the music plays, and there’s always a friendly face behind the bar. Whether it’s the cosy side bar serving hearty Irish fare and showcasing our extensive whisky collection, or the main bar buzzing with energy, live music and warm hospitality — we pride ourselves on delivering a good time, every time.

We’re currently looking for two Duty Managers to step into casual roles offering 25–35 hours per week. These are ideal positions for hospo leaders who thrive on the floor and bring calm, confidence and personality to every shift.

With a calendar full of exciting events on the horizon, successful applicants will need to be fully available throughout July.

The gig:

Casual roles, approx. 25–35 hours per week

Hands-on floor leadership, team support, and guest engagement

Full availability required across July due to upcoming events

Potential for progression for the right candidate after the probationary period

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in a pub or similar venue

Confident leading a team and running shifts from open to close

Current RSA

Availability for a rotating roster, including nights and weekends

Reliable, calm under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment

A friendly, down-to-earth attitude — with a bit of personality.
