We have an exciting opening for a Community Liaison Officer to join our team.

This position will work within School Plus Programs across Queensland. Based in School Plus's offices located in Eight Mile Plains, this role requires regular travel to our centres and partners around Brisbane.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our services operate efficiently and align with our values of care, quality, and community.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Community Liaison Officer who has:

A passion for working with school communities.

Experience in engaging and building relationships with schools, community organisations or similar.

Strong communication, customer service, negotiation and influencing skills.

Experience in developing and maintaining positive and effective professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibility for planning, delivering and evaluating high quality events.

Discipline and is results-driven, with a high level of initiative, and ability to work autonomously.

What you’ll do

Engage with our services and communities

Create community engagement plans

Ensure engagement plans are meeting objectives

Meet regularly with stakeholders & school representatives

Support onsite teams to effectively implement initiatives

Initiate and lead activity experiences

Assist in community marketing plans & reporting

What you’ll bring

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willing to obtain

Excellent attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.

Excellent initiative and the ability to work autonomously

Excellent written and verbal communication.

High level of organisation and time management skills.

Excellent knowledge and previous experience in using Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
