At Bare, our EOL Concierges are the first point of contact for families navigating one of life’s most difficult moments — and they play a critical role in how we serve and grow our business. You’ll be on the phone with families who need help arranging funeral services, offering not only guidance and care, but also showing them why Bare is the best possible choice for their needs.

You’ll need to be empathetic, but also confident in leading conversations, building trust quickly, and guiding families toward choosing Bare. The families we speak to are often overwhelmed — your ability to clearly communicate our offering, uncover their needs, and provide the right recommendation is what sets us apart.

So what is the role, exactly?

We're looking for an outgoing, empathetic and passionate communicator to join our end-of-life (EOL) team. Bare’s EOL Concierges are front-and-center in creating amazing customer experiences for families who are going through one of the hardest times in their lives. It’s no stretch to say it’s one of the most important roles in the company.

In this role you’ll be phone-based, taking calls from families who are looking for support in arranging a funeral service. You’ll show empathy, taking the time to let them know you genuinely care, and then support them by talking about what Bare does (and what we don’t do) and then offering recommendations based on their circumstances.

This role is a hybrid of care and sales. On the care side, our families are going through a traumatic time - our role is to be there for them. On the sales side, we can't support families (with best-in-class care) unless they choose Bare. Our EOL concierges need to play both these roles.

That makes sense, but what would my day to day look like?

In this role, you will:

Act as a trusted guide for families, educating them on Bare’s services and how we can support them.

Drive sales outcomes by converting inbound leads into customers through empathetic, value-driven conversations.

Tailor your approach to each conversation, recommending the right services based on individual needs and circumstances.

Balance compassion with commercial acumen — you’re helping people in crisis, but also helping them make a decision.

Work closely with the broader care and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.

You will report into our Head of Sales and work with a team of 12 EOL Concierges.

You need:

a genuine love of talking to, and helping, people from all walks of life

the ability to work in a fast-paced environment (we get a lot of calls)

very comfortable working with technology and following processes

the ability to take control of a conversation and become a trusted advisor

a natural sales ability, and the ability to take multiple paths in a conversation based on signals
