About the Team
The Large Test & Environment Practice team plays a critical role in delivering robust testing and environment support across Hollard Business, Agency Partners, and Software Vendors. This team ensures processes and systems function seamlessly to help Agency Partners manage their insurance portfolios across the Quote, Policy, and Claims lifecycle.
About the Role
As Release & Environment Lead, you’ll support the Release & Implementation Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing environment activities. You’ll manage and maintain test environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, working closely with delivery teams, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure systems are ready, stable, and fit-for-purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure end-to-end non-production environments across cloud and on-prem platforms
- Run sprint planning and scrum sessions for the environment team
- Monitor, maintain, and refresh test environments in alignment with project timelines
- Implement and enforce test environment standards, controls, and documentation
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure timely configuration and provisioning
- Coordinate environment setup and test data management with project teams and vendors
- Proactively manage risks related to non-production environments and third-party integrations
- Develop tools and automations to streamline environment setup and refresh processes
- Maintain a central repository of environment documentation, access credentials, and configurations
What You’ll Bring
- 4–9 years' experience in test environment roles within General Insurance
- Proven experience managing Azure DevOps boards and Cloud DevOps tools such as Octopus and GitHub
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices
- Experience leading scrums, stand-ups, and environment-related sprint planning
- Ability to manage multiple environments and align to changing project needs
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and time management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and shifting priorities across complex programs
Desirable
- Experience with Guidewire and/or DuckCreek
- ISTQB CTEL-TM or similar certification
- Background in end-to-end testing and environment estimation for large projects
12-Month Contract (with extensions highly likely)
$900/day incl. super
2 Days in Office (North Sydney)
