This role provides administrative and technical support to the operations team. The role combines aspects of customer service such as resolve issues associated with deliveries or services or technical assistance and requires skills to create and maintain records and data in a range of systems to capture, action and analyse information for ensuring efficient workflows.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the Logistics team to provide support

Assisting with scheduling local and linehaul trucks and drivers

Reconciliation of Freight Orders

Assisting with loading and unloading

Checking driver fatigue sheets

Assist with maintaining driver records

Preparing manifests

Managing freight bookings and time slot requests

Assisting with depot pallet control

Ensuring that all transport documents are completed correctly

Entering and updating bookings in the Job Management System

Liaising with customers and drivers on job requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

Prior transport administration experience (highly regarded)

Excellent time management skills, planning and organisational skills

Have a positive attitude with the willingness to learn

Be a team player with excellent customer service skills

Strong written and verbal communication

Solid skills in Excel, MS-Office

Certificate, Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (highly regarded)

Experience in a similar role.
