Burdekin Life Newspaper is seeking an enthusiastic, Burdekin-based Sales Account Manager to lead local sales for our beloved community publication. This is a role where you’ll spend 80% of your time out and about, meeting local business owners, building relationships, and helping them create successful marketing strategies. While this is a home-based role, the right candidate will thrive on being out in the community, making meaningful connections and driving results every day.

Job Description
This role requires spending approximately 80% of your time out of the office, engaging directly with local businesses to develop and implement impactful marketing campaigns in partnership with the newspaper.
Key responsibilities include conducting a minimum of three pre-scheduled face-to-face meetings daily, supplemented by at least five additional client call-ins.
You will manage and nurture an existing client portfolio, ensuring regular visits to long-term clients to maintain satisfaction, identify opportunities for upgrades, and secure contract renewals.
Collaborating closely with the Editor, you will contribute to the development and execution of advertising campaigns and feature promotions aimed at driving incremental sales.
Additionally, you will work in coordination with the production team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure seamless campaign delivery.
Meeting and exceeding sales targets is a fundamental expectation of this role. You will also be responsible for maintaining and managing the sales database, with experience in Pipedrive considered an advantage.
A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and resilience in the face of rejection are essential for success in this position.
